Luke Broadhurst, CPO, C.Ped, Certified Prosthetist Orthotist, Certified Pedorthist, Practice Manager
Luke earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine from Pepperdine University. His practice includes a broad range of lower-extremity prosthetic and orthotic care, including complex lower-extremity amputation, advanced prosthetic technology, gait biomechanics, and prosthetic and orthotic devices for sports and performance. With his sports medicine and biomechanics background, he particularly enjoys working with highly motivated patients who want to return to active lifestyles, recreational sports, and hobbies.
Luke began working as a Certified Pedorthist in 2006, making custom foot orthotics. He became a certified prosthetist and orthotist in 2010 and has practiced as a Pacific Medical clinician since then. He has served as a residency mentor for more than six years and has provided long-term mentoring to multiple new CPOs while serving as a Practice Manager for more than 10 years. He has also participated in medical mission trips to Costa Rica to provide same-day prosthetic legs to patients and is working with his church to start a prosthetic clinic at Faith Alive hospital in Nigeria.
Luke’s interest in the human body began in college and developed into a desire to use that knowledge and his hands to help people. He ultimately found that combination in orthotics and prosthetics.
Outside of the clinic, Luke enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, fitness and calisthenics, rock climbing, road cycling, surfing, and recreation in the mountains and near the ocean. He also leads a men’s group through his church.

Jotera Haffner MS, CPO, Certified Prosthetist Orthotist, Cranial Remolding Specialist
Jotera Haffner earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California at Davis and a Master of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics from Baylor College of Medicine. During her Baylor residency program, she rotated through multiple practices across the United States including, Pacific Medical. She is also a Starband Certified Cranial Specialist and All Star Team Member.
At Pacific Medical, Jotera specializes exclusively in cranial remolding orthoses. Her clinical expertise includes cranial remolding orthoses, postoperative cranial remolding for craniosynostosis, and cranial remolding orthoses for infants who also use glasses, hearing aids, shunts, or other medical devices. She particularly enjoys working with infants, pediatric patients, and their families.
Before joining Pacific Medical, Jotera observed at a national clinic during college and subsequently completed her Baylor College of Medicine residency rotations. Shortly after completing residency, she accepted a position with Pacific Medical and has remained with the company since. Her professional experience also includes research into the cognitive load of pattern-recognition myoelectric upper-limb prosthetic control. She has presented at the Orthomerica Star Summit, including a case study involving a cranial remolding patient with hearing loss. Joterra is also part of the Orthomerica All Star program, a network of providers committed to standardized clinical practices and collecting outcome measures for research purposes.
Jotera was originally drawn to prosthetics through her interest in science fiction, particularly Star Wars, and her fascination with medical-device innovation. After discovering the patient-care side of the profession, she found that O&P combined her interests in engineering, healthcare, art, working with her hands, and working with people. In her current practice, she emphasizes educating families in a comprehensible and compassionate way so they can feel confident in their child’s treatment plan.
Outside of the clinic, Jotera enjoys going on walks, reading, good food, and spending time with her husband. She is also involved in her church’s Bible studies and children’s ministries.
Larry Nisetich, CFo, Certified Orthotic Fitter
Larry Nisetich brings 36 years of experience in the medical field, including work in O&P, hospital orthopedic, trauma and ICU settings, physical therapy as a PT Assistant, and 20 years in clinical orthotics. His practice includes a broad range of orthotic care, with a particular interest in lower-extremity body mechanics and patients with alignment concerns.
Outside of the clinic, Larry values family time and has a longstanding passion for cycling and the Grand Tours. He also enjoys wine collecting and winemaking.

Rey Bonilla, Orthotic Fitter/Pedorthist
Rey Bonilla’s background includes six years as a Senior Durable Medical Equipment Technician as well as experience as a Certified Medical Assistant, including work in podiatry. His clinical interests include lower- and upper-extremity orthotics, diabetic and pedorthic care, and mobility-related devices. He enjoys combining patient care, problem-solving, and medical technology to help patients maintain their mobility and independence.
Outside of the clinic, Rey enjoys spending time with family and friends, cheering on the San Francisco 49ers, and working on DIY projects around his home and vehicles.
Shawn Brenner, Orthotic Fitter/Pedorthist
Shawn Brenner completed training through CalRegional in Roseville, including phlebotomy certification, as part of his introduction to the medical field. He has a particular interest in orthotic care and educating patients about the importance of lower-extremity health. Shawn especially enjoys working with younger patients and strives to create a fun, energetic environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions and learning about their care.
Shawn was drawn to O&P by the opportunity to work one-on-one with patients while using critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Before joining Pacific Medical, he attended phlebotomy school as the beginning of his medical career.
Outside of the clinic, Shawn enjoys spending time with family and close friends, watching movies, attending music festivals, and cheering for the New York Giants.
Carlie Bartle, Lead Office Administrator
Carlie brings 10 years of healthcare and patient-service experience to her role at Pacific Medical, including four years with the company. Her previous experience includes caregiving, dispatch, retail, hospitality, and working as a patient care coordinator for a medical transfer center. She credits her caregiving background with helping develop the empathy, compassion, and patience she brings to her current role.
Carlie is passionate about supporting patients, practitioners, and her administrative team while improving the overall experience within the clinic. One of her most memorable experiences at Pacific Medical was seeing a patient take their first steps in years after receiving new prosthetic legs—an experience that reinforced for her the impact the team’s work can have on patients and their families.
Carlie entered O&P while searching for a more patient-centered career. Although she initially knew little about the profession, learning about Pacific Medical and experiencing the positive outcomes of O&P care made her want to remain in the field. The dedication she sees toward both patients and employees continues to make the work meaningful to her.
As a leader, Carlie values teamwork, appreciation, empathy, and making sure people feel heard. She enjoys supporting both administrators and practitioners and believes seemingly small gestures can make a meaningful difference. Her goal is to create an environment where patients and team members feel respected, included, and supported.
Outside of work, Carlie enjoys reading, painting, cooking, baking, musicals, and traveling with her wife and their two dogs. She is also a Disney fan with a goal of visiting all six Disney resort destinations around the world and particularly enjoys listening to audiobooks while painting or baking.
